
Eoin Kelly is a sound designer, audio engineer and music producer from Dublin, Ireland. He began his studies at Sound Training College in Sound Engineering and Music Technology. From this, he progressed to his degree in Creative Music Production at IADT, Dún Laoghaire and achieved a BA(Hons) First Class Honours degree. Until 2019, he was the head sound engineer for Bodytonic. Since then, he has worked as a freelance live sound engineer.
In 2021, he began work as a sound designer and foley artist on Soft Tissue by Cliona Noonan. This short animation was selected for several film and animation festivals across Europe and Ireland. In 2023, it won the Best Animated Short award at the Irish Film and Television Awards(IFTA). This animation led to many new connections, including work experience at Raygun Studios and an audio assistant job at Blast Audio in Dublin.
As a freelancer, he masters tracks for artists such as Jack Jennings, Lukey and works as a recording and mixing engineer. He recorded, mixed and mastered two tracks for Laoise Fitzgerald. These were bonus tracks which featured on her EP. He also mixed an EP for folk singer/songwriter Oisín MacCoil.
Eoin is also a DJ, playing in some of Dublin’s finest clubs. He ran a club night called Stoop in 2015 with local friends, ending in 2018. In 2017, he co-founded a record label with friends from college called Modem Records. This label is where Eoin released some of his early works and compiled three charity compilation albums, featuring several of his productions. He is now working with longtime friend and collaborator Jack Jennings called Ossory. Their first EP, Origins, was released on January 26th 2024. Their second EP released on Gruvalismo.
